THANK YOU MBARC QRP CW CONTEST for making February go away. It sure helps me get past the cold wet month by getting to know some new Hams and renew old friendships.

Today was the last day of the month, so also the end of the CW fun. I threw in the towel about 8 PM because we were again inundated with RTTY right on top of our QSO. Anyway, I had a nice round figure with which to call it quits for this year.

A couple of interesting QSO’s happened today. Yuri, UA0LKM/MM called me from his ship somewhere near Vladivostok, Russia. He didn’t give out much information.

Also, Steve, NoTU answered my CQ from Monument, Co., about 50 miles south of Denver. He was 5 watt pedistrian mobile (PM) out on his deck with a 4 foot whip on his portable pack trailing a counterpoise wire. He is known as “The Goat Man” and has a number of videos on U-TUBE of his pack goats Rooster and Peanut. To my surprise he sent me an email with the recording of our QRP QSO. His attachment also included the video hyperlink of his recent trip to the Caribbean on a DXpedition.

This was one of my better days with 34 Q’s.

For those of you still battling it out, you have until midnight to work the multitudes.

CW ROCKS!

72/73 until next year, Stan, QRP CW Contest Chairman.
