Yes Brian. All hail broke loose at 0000Z on Friday afternoon right in the middle of a QSO. I looked up and saw that my clock had rolled over to the magic hour and the new CQ WW CW contest was literally upon us!
Earlier in the day V47KP in St. Kitts, Leeward Islands answered my CQ. He must have felt sorry for me after many unsuccessful CQ calls.
When he was pounded on by many listeners, Alex just disappeared, no doubt to resurface during the contest.
A number of folks have told me they worked N7RO/QRP and his extra ordinary station.
