I would like to visit some of the cities I heard from on Ham radio this afternoon. Sandy Valley, NV., Sykesville, MD., Moose Lake, MN., Thousand Oaks, CA., Appleton, WI., Bonita, CA., Wichita, KS., Baton Rouge, LA., Anchorage, AK., Stover, MO., Chapel Hill, NC., Phoenix, AZ., and Lynden, WA. Herb’s two lantern batteries were holding up well to his Sierra 1 watt rig powering his longwire. Dana is a physics professor and she teaches in Louisiana State University. Dan had just finished building a 1 watt rig for his son. Bob was still broadcasting music from Alaska with his Vibroplex bug. After all, CW is the only legal music you can transmit on Ham radio frequencies.

Hmmm . I’ve never seen the “Ready to Thread” link either. Hmmmm
Oh, and don’t forget that we qso’ed a bit tonight. (GOT THAT IN THE LOG) You faded out, then you came back very strong and then faded out again. I wish we could see the ionosphere like we see the “Northern Lights”. It sure would help make more sense. I spent over an hour trying to raise a bunch of guys on PSK31 this evening. I sure could hear them but they couldn’t hear me.
Also discovered tonight (You already know this…. right?) that if I turn the attenuator on along with the Xtal filter, the signals come throught with much less noise.
